About this tool

Use this tool when you need a document that looks the same on every device, for example a resume, an assignment or a form to email. It keeps headings, bold and italic text, lists, simple tables and the pictures in your Word file. Custom fonts and advanced layouts are not kept exactly. Only .docx files are supported, so save older .doc files as .docx in Word first. Text in other scripts, such as Hindi or Arabic, is added as a picture of the text so it displays correctly, but it cannot be selected or copied.

• Save old .doc files as .docx before converting.
• Use headings and lists in Word so they carry over neatly.
• Preview the PDF before you send it, in case spacing changed.

Questions

Does it support .doc files?
Not yet. Open the file in Word and use Save As to make a .docx, then convert it.

Are pictures kept?
Yes. Pictures in your Word file are placed in the PDF. Very large pictures are scaled to fit the page.
